I'm a user of Xfinity with an SB6121 modem. It's been a while since I upgraded, and recently I've noticed my connection feels slower than expected. A few years back, Xfinity/Comcast kept calling about my modem's performance, claiming it was lagging due to increased speeds in my area. I initially dismissed them and told them to stop bothering me. Now I'm testing speeds up to 200 megabits and maxing out at 130 megabits. I'm considering a new modem, specifically the SB8200, which offers higher speeds and a solid Intel Puma chipset. Would there be any valid concerns about purchasing it for around $150?

I previously owned it before switching from Spectrum to AT&T, and it performed exceptionally well without any problems.

I prefer keeping modems the same, as I've faced issues with unreliable or overheating ones before. Unstable internet with lag is really frustrating!
