The effort becomes more engaging with others to help with tasks like sorting gravel and sand for metals or cobblestone generators.

I'd recommend watching people play it first just so you get a rough idea on what to do - theres a TONNNN of items that can get you to the same thing but some can be very easy, others very hard.
On the "Latest Updates" section it mentions the official servers were taken down for 2.0. They recommend checking out the link https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/tcr-20.930507. What platform are you using? Are you playing solo or with others in a multiplayer setting?

I’m playing both during the evenings and occasionally in the afternoon, so I have a solo experience plus a multiplayer one going on. I’m starting it through the Twitch client, which already has Minecraft set up and supports modpacks (you don’t need to ask how or why the old launchers disappeared ).
