You're considering whether a Modern Standby-compatible PSU makes sense for your Z590 motherboard. It's worth noting that MS tends to focus more on laptops and tablets, so this choice might be more relevant for desktops. Regarding wake speed, newer sleep modes can indeed offer faster transitions compared to older ones.

If you spot it, let me know. I don’t turn off my desktop, I miss the meaning.

It can be a bit slow when waking from sleep; I often wait a while before using it again. Usually I power it off completely because it restarts fast on an SSD. The latest version should perform better. Sleep mode helps preserve work sometimes compared to a full shutdown.

I frequently use sleep or hibernate, I don’t want to restart everything every time I power on.

Hibernate remains a viable choice today, though its performance depends on your specific needs. Many developers still disable it during initial builds to reduce SSD impact, but modern applications often balance efficiency with resource management.
