Turn off all other applications, then visit http://speedtest.net/ using Chrome and report the findings. If you're not happy with the results, repeat the process with Firefox and compare. Mika

Telecom Italia (Italy) hasn't reported any throttling issues I'm aware of. The regulations here differ from the US, and I believe it's not considered legal to throttle traffic. Things have returned to normal, and I achieved the same (correct) outcome using both Chrome and Opera.
