If you’re using temp delta/money, fine. But in terms of raw cooling, they’re quite effective. How should I maintain them? Closed loop, right? Proper installation matters. Do you mean the GN air bubble video? They have a limited lifespan, yes—agree with that. Are they just a gimmick? Kind of. More money for better cooling? Yes. Do you care about looks? Yes. Want something different from standard? Sure, but it’s not a major change. Air cooler or AIO? Custom loops are a smaller part of that. I think you’re exaggerating a bit.
I don't grasp how people interpret my words beyond needing enough water to remove dried paste, without fully submerging anything in the sink. Should I clarify? Do you really think no one cleans their homes properly? How can you handle different substances with just water and cleaners? Have you ever seen dried soda or something on your shoes? Wiping glasses with a damp cloth works fine. Never allow water to enter your PC—it will cause damage and ruin carpets or surfaces.
I've tried cleaning wipes on glasses and monitors—anything that can mask the issue. I've also used stronger cleaners, since it's a metal plate. Nail polish remover might help too. Older Aio models without surveillance or sensors are likely to fail eventually. Air coolers stop working if the CPU fan fails. Custom water cooling setups should include alarms for low flow and pump speed, plus easy drainage options. Both of these seem just as frustrating as Aio units.
Ended up with a broken toothbrush and used that to clean it. I've reapplied thermal paste and started it, but nothing happens. I removed the CMOS, let it sit for a while, then powered it back on—fans spun briefly before shutting off again. I also tried another working battery. Edited October 4, 2023 by NinthTurtle1034
I'd remove the board and attempt to start it outside using only essential connections. Then I'd test whether shorting the power pins can get it to work.
Around the time you messaged me, I actually prepared some food and left the PC powered with the PSU connected. When I returned, I decided to turn it on. It seems something might have changed—perhaps the capacitors needed charging. The good part is it’s working now; the downside is I don’t understand why it didn’t start before.
