Hello! I recently assembled my first PC after a long time wanting to build one. It was challenging yet exciting, and I’m happy with the final result. The main issue is that it doesn’t produce any sound, no matter what I try. I’m not very familiar with tech, but I explored all the options online. My setup includes an NVIDIA GTX 1050 and an HP S1933 monitor, with no speakers. I’ve tried: changing the audio output device (still no sound), updating GPU drivers (no improvement), enabling onboard sound (still silent), and even using speakers. They don’t appear in playback devices or work with headphones either. I bought new speakers but they also don’t show up. What should I do next?

It connects via HDMI to your monitor for audio, but since your monitor lacks a speaker, you won’t hear anything. If the built-in sound functions, consider adding speakers and connecting them.

Meaning I’m not relying on external speakers. Sorry, English isn’t my primary language. But I’ll attempt to use them! Thank you!

OP, an HDMI audio extractor might also assist you, since Windows could default to HDMI audio on startup. This tool lets you send HDMI audio straight to external speakers without needing to pick a different output each time. Edited April 10, 2022 by An0maly_76 Updated, more info
