No audio output at all on Linux system
Hi everyone, I tried switching to Linux because my Windows was causing issues, so I installed Deepin. Everything seemed fine until I realized there was no audio output at all. I checked the sound settings and noticed the devices were present but the volume indicator wasn’t showing anything. I searched online for adjustments in the ALSA mixer, but nothing changed. I even reinstalled ALSA, but it didn’t help. Then I tried Ubuntu with the same problem. My setup is an i7 7700 with a GTX 1060 and 16GB RAM, and it still didn’t work. I’m hoping someone can help me out. Thanks!
Hello, I have a motherboard. The Ubuntu version I'm running is [insert version]. Regarding audio, do you have any dedicated sound cards installed? You can check your current cards by running "sudo lspci -vv" and share the output.
I will proceed from now on. You chose your headphones, which are linked via the headphone jack on the back. How would you like to adjust them?
I've switched the system language for clearer visibility. It appears blue, but your screenshot suggests you meant something else. Yes, it shows an error. Could this be the issue? I've completed the task and still see no audio output, though the dmesg log now shows a different message. It doesn't function properly even after clicking "test speakers." If you proceed, download pavucontrol using sudo apt install pavucontrol. Launch it. When you watch a YouTube video, check if your sound card appears correctly and isn't muted. You might want to try installing an updated Linux distribution like Manjaro Linux via USB live, and consider updating the kernel in Ubuntu using ukua with a newer kernel version. This approach could resolve compatibility issues.
