Am4 AIO is not recommended for Am3+ processors. Your current setup with the FX8350 runs at reduced performance due to overheating, but compatibility isn't guaranteed. Check manufacturer guidelines carefully before proceeding.

They relocated the mounting holes from AM3+ to AM4. The decision relied on the specific AIO model and its compatibility options, and if you still possess all the necessary brackets, it was included.

Check if the build lists AM3+ compatibility and includes matching brackets.

It's the specific AIO model you're referring to, likely the new Arctic LF3 series. They support AM3+ and you should be able to install it. If you don't have the correct mounting kit, consider contacting the manufacturer for assistance.

It works with AM3+. Make sure you have the mounting bracket; if not, contact Cooler Master for assistance.

a four-tower setup will obliterate that 120mm aioi unit from which country? the budget looks tight, and the performance is lagging behind first-gen cores on socket 1156/1366. though it still offers some resale worth, if speed matters you should consider swapping the whole CPU-mobo combo for a used ~50$ 3600(x) plus a used ~50$ B3/450 setup (or even a brand-new one under $80). you could also go with ~30$ for a 16GB or ~50$ for a 32GB DDR4 kit, and the resale value of the processor/mobo should help offset the upgrade costs. old fans are expensive, especially on high-end boards, so unless you don’t mind sacrificing performance, it makes sense to keep the current setup. i’d just assume you’ll eventually upgrade—opt for a solid cooler like a 240AIO, or consider cheaper AIOs from frozen prism/notte, or used Corsair H100i air coolers if you’re okay with zip ties. without mounting hardware they’re not very useful, but aioi is still manageable even on LGA775 copper cores, especially when you can zip them in securely.

the system doesn't accept 240 aio units, as that would conflict with my RAM capacity
