No affordable gigabit coaxial modem available outside of router bundles
I've been searching for an extremely affordable coaxial gigabit modem without a router for roughly three hours. My Nighthawk X4S router supports gigabit speeds, but I'm upgrading my modem and can't find a budget-friendly option. I'm not looking for a brand-new or stylish model—just something cheap and functional. Anyone has suggestions?
I own 300 units but will switch to gigabit soon and stop paying $10 monthly for a modem rental.
I acquired a router for $80 from a Linky store. It has four antennas and supports speeds up to 4.4 Gbps. I’ll check it out later.
That’s the Wi-Fi performance, not the modem speed. You’ll need something high-end such as the CM1200 or SB8200. Also confirm they’re included in your ISP’s approved devices.
He requires a fiber connection, not a standard Ethernet port.
You're likely in a place where electrical or networking supplies are readily available, such as a local hardware store or electronics shop.
they might require fiber because it offers better performance, while a document modem is often needed for compatibility. Ethernet can also work over fiber.
