I assembled my initial PC and encountered issues linking it to the internet. The Windows troubleshooter reported missing properly installed network adapter (refer to the attached image, regrettably I lack a connection to change language). I've downloaded and applied the newest LAN and chipset drivers from Gigabyte's site. Testing confirmed the network cable functions correctly when connected to another machine. In Device Manager, the adapter remains invisible even when hidden devices are displayed. My current system settings are: Windows 10 Pro 64bit, GIGABYTE B550 Gaming X V2 (v1.1), BIOS F15, AMD Ryzen 5 5600 16GB (2x8GB) with G.Skill Aegis DDR4-3200 DIMM 16GB, XFX Radeon RX 6800 QICKSILVER319, Core Gaming 1TB, Lexar NM620 M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe, Corsair RM Series RM650. Appreciate your assistance!

The correct option is confirmed by the settings menu. The Onboard LAN Controller is indeed the appropriate toggle to enable.

I reviewed the information briefly. Follow these steps: take the CMOS battery off the board, keep the power button pressed for a minute to discharge any remaining charge, ensure the device stays unplugged with the battery removed for 30 minutes to an hour, then reinstall the battery and power it back on.

Have you thought about the possibility that the board has a faulty ethernet port? I recommend reinstalling Windows from the ground up and testing again. You can download the appropriate drivers from the gigabytes website for that specific board and install them during the fresh installation if the system doesn't detect them automatically. If the issue persists, it may indicate a defective board.

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately it didn’t resolve the problem—the network adapter remains absent. I’ve noticed many similar issues online, so I wanted to confirm it isn’t a Windows or driver-related concern. I downloaded the drivers from this support site, but I’ll now file a support case with Gigabyte. Appreciate your assistance!

I wouldn't bother handling the return if you purchased it within the last 30 days. Just send it back to the seller and get a new one, ideally another model.
