Hello, I'm missing a network adapter. Please find the attached files. I attempt to install the driver from the MSI and Intel websites, but I receive an error message. After searching online for "no network adapter found," most suggestions recommend using Device Manager instead of choosing from available adapters. So far, I've only tried installing the chipset from MSI and also attempted audio drivers, which didn't work. Could your motherboard have a faulty BIOS?

I believe the issue isn't with your device. It seems Intel's software might be causing some confusion. You can locate your Ethernet device's ID and hardware information by searching online for driver files. Once you have them, you can download and install the appropriate updates yourself.

You're unsure about locating the hardware ID on your laptop. It might not be visible in the device manager. If present, it could appear as "Realtek" or "gigabyte controller."

Didn't catch the OP. Have you restarted after updating the chipset drivers? From what I see, the missing part seems to be the chipset itself.

I restarted it again. Once the chipset is set up, they prompt you to turn it off once more.

I believe the incorrect model is the one listed on Google, as it shows the i225-V instead of the LM. The right version should display the LM.

Following the manual setup process: you can right-click the Ethernet connection, go to properties, select driver, update, browse, choose let me pick, then select disk. I note that the Intel driver saves to c:\intel but I'm not sure. Edit: you can point to the zip file that MSI hosts under network driver: ntel_Network_WT.zip. Intel Network Drivers\PRO2500\Winx64\NDIS68. Here’s what the device manager should display, these IDs help verify compatibility.

I attempted a similar process using Google search results. They suggested locating the .ini file for manual installation, but I couldn't find it in the drivers folder from MSI or Intel anywhere. Please note that even my audio drivers didn't install properly, and I'm currently experiencing no sound at all.
