I’ve changed the Aorus B450 Elite Motherboard to F65e BIOS from the official site, but it’s not working anymore. The diagnostics indicator stays stuck on DRAM. I’ve experienced this before; going back to the previous BIOS should fix it, though I don’t have an old CPU available. What options do I have? I’ve tried booting with just one RAM stick, checked all slots, swapped in a different stick (Samsung 4GB 2133), reset the CMOS, removed everything from peripherals and SSDs, and even re-seated the CPU. Key specs: Ryzen 7 5800X, G.Skill Trident Z 2x16 DDR4, 2 NVMe SSDs, 1 SATA SSD, Aorus 3060 Ti.
I just realized my PC has an Intel R5 5500. I plan to test it out to see if it boots, because these 5500 series started getting supported with BIOS F63 instead of F61 like the 5800X. I’m wondering if there might be an issue with the newer BIOS versions since both the F65e and F63 don’t work with the 5800X. I’ll update this note once it’s working.
Attempted multiple times but no posting yet. Will test a 5500 to check. Support for 5500/5600/5700x started with BIOS F63, and both current versions (F63 and F65e) don’t work with my 5800x, so I’m hoping for the 5500. I’ll update this if it succeeds. Before that, I downgraded to a 3600 but already sold it.
This would provide a temporary solution by giving me the seat while ensuring the cooler is in place to avoid overheating.
High stress is putting things in trouble. The processor won’t get too hot when sharing content.
It looks like the issue might have occurred after the BIOS update. The update didn’t finish properly, which could be the main reason for the problem.
It seems the CPU might not be the main issue. I’ve tested it in another MOBO using the newest BIOS and it functions perfectly (Gigabyte B450M DS3H F64). Upgrading from a 3600 to the 5800x caused problems too—I spent about five hours trying fixes, and eventually downgrading my BIOS from F63 to F62 resolved it. Now I’m experiencing random blue screens when one of my NVMe drives reaches full speed, freezing the whole system. I’m considering an update to see if that helps.
