You’ve already invested a lot in your new Ryzen 9 5900X and MSI MGP B550 setup. Considering a CPU cooler is a smart move, but whether it’s sufficient depends on your cooling needs. Let me know if you want advice on choosing the right cooler for your system!

Choose a larger air cooler like the Scythe Fuma 2. It offers better performance than a 140mm AIO for that price range.

Hyper 212 Evo targets parts rated at 65 W and below. For peak performance without throttling, a superior cooler is essential. This 20$ model has been upgraded frequently, but it isn't built for higher-temperature chips. A 5600x or 5900x would work better, though it won't run optimally with it. Scythe Mugen offers the best value around $55.

I don't recommend the Scythe Fuma 2 as the top value option for this processor. Let me know if you'd like more affordable alternatives!

The Fuma 2 has seen a significant price increase recently. It seems it might no longer be in stock. The NH-D15 priced at $99 is now more affordable, while the NH-U12S Redux fits within the $50 range.
