The 4+4 connector is officially designed for up to 225W, making it safe as long as you don’t exceed the PBO limit. When you open it, it handles a maximum of 142W. The main worry lies with the VRM, but the B550 TUF Gaming Plus offers a solid VRM setup.

The 5950X consumes relatively little power, usually around 200W under typical conditions—just at the maximum capacity of a single 4-pin. A configuration with 8 pins delivers close to 400W, making it more than adequate for this device.
