Windows requires 25-30GB of space, and additional software can add more. Updates and drivers may also increase usage.
When hibernation is turned on, Windows generates a file (hiberfil.sys) matching the amount of physical RAM. With 16 gigabytes of RAM, this file equals 16 gigabytes. This ensures sufficient storage capacity to save all RAM data to disk during hibernation. Disabling hibernation also deletes this file. You can access the control settings via the menu or execute the command: powercfg /hibernate off

Virtual Memory (pagefile) should be around 19GB for a system with 32GB RAM. Hibernation space depends on Fast Startup usage, and System Restore also varies to help revert changes if needed.
