Only you can genuinely confirm "is it OK?" Are you receiving the expected performance from the workloads you're running? If yes, then consider skipping the upgrade. If not, continue reading. The top RAM option for the R5 2600 is 3200MHz CL14, though anything above 2933MHz works well. 2666MHz may be slower, but unless the performance gains aren't significant enough to justify the cost, it might not be worth it. That being said, based on your current setup, you could likely overclock it to 3200MHz CL16 without much trouble.

You're looking for a few percentage of lower performance gains. Yes. If spending extra RAM won't boost your speed by more than 5%, skip it. If you need more memory, consider upgrading to a 3200MHz kit or the same speed you already have—it's often more affordable now.
