In short, I experienced random stuttering and freezing while playing "Need for Speed: Unbound." It seems to occur unexpectedly, especially on ultra settings or low graphics options, despite achieving over 100 FPS on those modes. This behavior isn’t typical of other games, even older titles. My setup includes an older version of the game, and I’ve tried updating drivers from previous versions without success. The issue might be related to my storage hardware—my Crucial P3 Plus 4TB NVMe SSD could be the problem. I’ve also reinstalled Windows multiple times but haven’t resolved it. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated. --SPECS-- CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X RAM: 4X8 (32GBs) 3600HMz MOD: MSI B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ RX 7800XT HDD/SSD: Boot Device Crucial P3 Plus, Normal storage - 4TB P3 Plus, 2TB SATA HDD, 2TB SATA HDD, 240GB SATA SSD (Random dump drive) PSU: Corsair RMX RM750 CASE: Hyte Y60 Average CPU temps are around 70°C with the Corsair H150 360mm AIO. If you need a video, I can share one via YouTube or here for a demo.

Consider turning off fullscreen optimization for that game. Go to the executable file and click with the right button. In the properties window, go to the compatibility section and disable fullscreen optimization. This might help in some cases, so give it a shot. If you think your SSD is the issue, try reinstalling the game on a different drive. You've already updated Windows, but have you turned off BitLocker? It can slow down the drive by constantly encrypting it and is generally not useful for regular users.

I attempted "Disable Fullscreen Optimization" but noticed BitLocker isn't working on any drives. I'll check for stuttering on my SATA SSD and HDD next. Thanks for the feedback! Your input is appreciated.

It suggests the game has a certain quirky or unconventional feel, unrelated to the technical aspects.

I've checked some sources recently, and it looks like the game likely doesn't support AMD GPUs well or isn't well-optimized. Unfortunately, the only Nvidia GPU I own is a GTS450, which is a significant drop compared to my 7800XT XD.

I believe the integrated GPU in an 8th generation Intel chip would be quite powerful

It would be surprising given just 1GB of VRAM.
