Hey everyone! I used to enjoy NFS Heat, but the graphics quality really took a hit. Now it just looks okay but struggles with frame rates. I’ve got a high-end setup—RTX 2080, Intel i7, and 16GB RAM. I’ve checked the NVIDIA control panel settings, but nothing seems to help. Got any suggestions?

It refers to the visual style of the game. If you dislike the overall look, modifying it might be an option. Otherwise, if you think the rendering feels off, share more details for a better assessment.

it seems you're comparing racing games to other genres like shooters. these racing titles are often optimized for performance and may not offer the same visual flair as shooters. if you're looking for something more visually impressive, games like Forza Horizon could be worth considering.

Uh yeah? Totally, haha FH4 is awesome. But maybe wait for FH5; just around the corner.

I played it on 5820K with 32GB RAM and a GTX 1080Ti, and everything ran smoothly at full resolution. The visuals weren’t terrible, but the game felt incomplete—just like most recent NFS titles. To really understand what’s wrong with its graphics, we’d need some screenshots or more details. I don’t see any major problems that haven’t already been resolved.

It appears a stylish race car from the PS3 period, featuring refined design elements. Enhanced high-resolution details and improved lighting effects would make sense. It wouldn't be surprising if EA revisits similar concepts. If you're seeking more visually appealing racing titles, options like Forza Horizon are available.

I own FH4 with FH5 just installed recently. I really enjoy NFS titles. I’m not starting from scratch here, haha. I don’t have to hunt for "better racing games"; I’m into Forza, Forza Horizon, and Need for Speed. The thing I’m discussing is how the visuals in videos appear—super impressive, great shaders, smooth edges, high-quality textures at full resolution. For me, turning off anti-aliasing doesn’t change anything; the lines stay rough. Even when I disable shaders completely, it still looks just like with them enabled. This is what I’m highlighting. I didn’t mean to express how disappointing the graphics look. I know exactly what I bought and what I expect. My game just doesn’t match the quality seen in videos or on friends’ screens. I don’t understand why nothing I tried works, and I’ve reinstalled several times. Thanks to everyone! When I check a comparison link, I can’t tell if there’s any difference when adjusting settings. Especially with Anti-Aliasing—TAA or not—it still looks the same.

Your game might not appear as intended due to settings activated in the NVIDIA Control Panel affecting its configuration.

A wise person once remarked: "you don't need a Ferrari to understand its speed." Regarding your concern, the problem is a recognized NFS flaw, and EA typically doesn’t address it—some view it as impressive while others are dissatisfied. It’s mainly an optimization or scalability matter. EA already has your funds, so they won’t resolve this issue.
