I've also looked at that resource, but it causes issues when using this approach.

Create a specialized PC tailored for this setup. NFS2 SE performs optimally with the Glide API, making a Windows XP system paired with the nGlide wrapper ideal. Alternatively, you could acquire an older Dell or HP P4 machine and install a budget GPU to cut costs.
