Disappointing. The last thing I had in mind was removing everything from the case, placing the motherboard on a phonebook-like surface, and connecting only essential components like RAM, GPU, PSU, and the right plugs. Then attempt to boot it by shorting the power connector. Observe the result. If it doesn’t start, the board is probably damaged.
Did you swap the cooler and backplate for the Wrath model? If you adjust the mounting bolts or take the new cooler off entirely, what outcomes can you expect?
I disconnected all possible connections from the motherboard, yet the 24-pin power connector remains stuck. I'm applying pressure by pushing in the clip and pulling straight up as instructed, but it still doesn't work. I even tried using a screwdriver to pry it off while pushing in the clip, but it won't budge.
