Dear friends,
My router is functioning perfectly and the PCs are connected to the Internet without issues. I have a fiber optics cable running through my wall. I'm attempting to connect a computer using it. See the image:
RJ45 from the router to a Fiber transceiver (number 1 in the photo), and on the other side, the same setup.
What am I doing incorrectly? I understand the fiber cable is fine.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated!

Do the transceivers have labels for tx and rx, and are they connected so that end A tx connects to end B rx and vice versa? It might be confusing without more details. Do you have a manual?

What kind of fibre cable are you employing? Each end should feature two connectors, with the TX on one side connecting to the RX on the opposite side, and vice versa. You also have single-mode and multi-mode fiber; they cannot be swapped, so verify it matches those media converters.

Thank you again.
In both transceivers, the RX side is sealed and not in use. You can observe this in one of the photos from the link I shared earlier. There is only a single full-duplex port—should that be the issue? Do I really need one to connect to the RX?
The product description mentions it is a "Transceiver" with "Auto-Negotiation", featuring "One 1.25Gbps full-duplex fiber port and one 1000M Ethernet port." So it should function, right?

Dual frequency, full duplex. I believe the Rx is not being used (please confirm). Is there a manual or a link to the manufacturer's website?

What type of fiber did you purchase? You should use single mode fiber for the frequencies the converter operates on. Often this fiber appears yellow. It's also important to handle the fiber with care, as it can break easily. Wrapping it around your finger a few times may lead to cracks in the glass core.

I received the fiber from my ISP, but I'm not entirely sure what I got. The fiber appears to be in good condition—when I connect the router on the other side, it functions properly.
