New Windows install only detects one of three NVMe drives. My old PC worked Sunday but crashed Monday morning, showing no response after turning it off. I suspected a power issue, replaced the PSU, but it still didn’t work. Eventually, I rebuilt the system using two 250GB NVMe drives in RAID 0 as the boot drive and a new 1TB NVMe as primary. It boots normally in BIOS and shows all three drives. Windows recognizes them in drivers and lists everything correctly. However, it doesn’t see the RAID setup in the installer, only the single drive. I’m unsure how to make Windows communicate with the old RAID setup. Any tips would be appreciated.

If the RAID controller differs, transferring RAID data may not work.

This might be connected to previous RAID setups on other machines, especially RAID 0, 1, and 5. In your scenario, the 500GB RAID 0 appears normal and error-free in Windows, even though it wasn't detected before. Your 6TB RAID 1 setup from the same system works perfectly now.

No, I didn't assign a drive letter to the volume or partition.

In NVME RAID configuration, you usually have to set the drives to RAID mode within the BIOS settings. This is likely necessary because it shows up there, though it might not be listed as an available device for assignment.

I verified once more and it appears normal in the BIOS; all drives are listed correctly and the striped RAID setup seems accurate.
