I purchased a laptop for school use as I transition to college. My university offers both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi connections. The device I currently use only connects to the 2.4GHz band. I need a 5GHz compatible Wi-Fi card. I’m unsure which one fits properly. My processor is an AMD A12-9720P RADEON R7. I’m running Microsoft Windows 10 Home, version 10.0.17134, build 17134. System details: not available, manufacturer Microsoft Corporation, model HP Laptop 17-ak0xx, x64-based PC. I have BIOS version F.05 from 14/08/2017, SMBIOS 3.0, UEFI mode, and Secure Boot enabled. I require a configuration to see the Windows directory at C:\Windows. I also need information about the hard drive—size, speed, and any relevant specs.
