Will Harmony OS 2.0 appear on this year’s Honor smartphones? Since I own a Honor 9 and know Harmony OS 2.0 will launch for devices with 128MB to 4GB of RAM on April 21, 2021, will older models receive an upgrade or remain the final Android 10/11 devices as EMUI 11 is now available? Or can we install the OS like ROMs for Android 10 on a phone as old as Android 7, possibly from sites such as GitHub, or should we rely on official sources and use recovery apps to transfer other ROMs onto my Honor device?
I wouldn't rely on Honor's own tools either. A custom ROM is strongly advised to avoid sharing all your information with the CCP.
