New version of Apple iOS is ready!
So... for everyone unfamiliar, IOS 11 is currently in its testing phase and heads toward a fall launch. Several exciting updates are on the horizon. Some of these include: brighter flashlight settings with four options, a redesigned control center, a new screen recorder, the "Files" app, reduced notifications while driving (great for teens), enhanced live photo effects similar to Instagram's Boomerang, improved SIRI commands like "play something I like" or "close (app)", updated passcode appearance, a refreshed iPad app interface, a new dock for multitasking on iPads, drag-and-drop functionality across apps, more powerful Apple Pencil support, a new document scanner in Notes, the "QuickType" keyboard, and the introduction of ARKit. This framework empowers developers to create immersive augmented reality experiences by merging digital content with your surroundings, making apps interact more naturally with the real world. It’s quite an interesting shift. Ultimately... Apple IOS 11 will arrive this autumn! Expect significant changes for iPhones, iPads, and the entire Apple ecosystem. Thanks for the feature overview. It’ll come in handy when I hit 11 drops to maximize the benefits.
Lastly a files app is available. It looks like they're enhancing iOS customization too. The main reason I still prefer Android right now is the limited ability to tweak the device as much. For instance: Tailored Google Voice commands, running Linux virtual machines on the phone, and custom launchers.
I’m already testing the beta version, and performance is decent. It’s clearly made a significant improvement since its initial release in developer beta a while back (that was quite a mess).
I'm facing issues with my current iPhone/iPad that require updates: new drag-and-drop, updated QuickType since everyone uses text prediction. Live photo effects are not working. The 4x flashlight option exists but might be missing. ARKit support is limited—Siri isn't recognized properly even on the 6s.
