I just purchased a new version of Vegas today, but when I launched it, it displayed the loading blue circle next to the mouse and then didn’t respond. I restarted it and tried again, but it still wouldn’t work. I’ve followed all the steps suggested by others—such as running FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe with admin rights, using FalloutNV.exe in compatibility mode for Windows 7, updating graphics, checking file integrity, running vcredist_x86 and DXSETUP.exe, deleting .ini files, and even reinstalling Vegas itself. I also restarted my computer after doing these things. Is there something clearly missing that I should have noticed?

It seems you should consider starting a new project on Steam or GOG, or revisit deeper fact-checking... For example, solutions that go further than your current approach.

It's a simple question, but did you verify your task manager for the launcher?

The launcher starts, but nothing occurs when I press play. I created one on Steam, yet no one has replied yet. It doesn't work after pressing play.

It looks like the game needs an unofficial patch for 64-bit operating systems.
https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62552/?
Additionally, another mod named Stutter Remover is suggested to resolve problems with modern multi-threaded CPUs.
Last I heard, it's highly advised to install the New Vegas Unofficial Patch as well, since this applies to all Bethesda titles.

I notice bethesda provides a similar troubleshooting package as the one you referenced. Occasionally, older titles struggle with Windows 10. Some of these games won't start properly regardless of your attempts. I'm hoping you'll find better success.

I received only the 4GB patch and then attempted to use it, but it didn't work. I also tried the stutter remover, though it has dependencies. The New Vegas script extender isn't installing properly. If I resolve that issue, I'll come back to see if the stutter remover works.

Alright, I've gotten the Patch, the stutter remover, and the 4GB Patch, and it still isn't working.
