At first I assumed the issue was related to the RAM speed. It claims a maximum of 2400MHz, yet when checking via CPUID both DRAM and NB frequency read 1197MHz. I learned this value comes from DDR4 scaling, which would make it 2400. However, in my BIOS under DRAM settings it shows 1200. Switching to 2000 causes the PC to crash, resetting three times. Should I disable the RAM and adjust its timings? Also, the BIOS limits it to 2000 even though my motherboard supports over 3000MHz.
It's tough to boost the RAM to its full potential, especially since it's rated at 2400MHz. DDR means double data rate, so the CPU displays half the real speed. Could the RAM itself be limiting performance? Also, do you notice slower gameplay in other titles?
I attempted Tom Clancey's Division; when launching, the main menu showed minor lag, and the game felt slightly slower than usual. All other settings were at maximum, except the resolution scale. PUBG and Escape From Tarkov behaved almost identically to before.
