I recently enhanced three key parts of my PC this Christmas. Battlefield 1 is now running much worse than before, and I’m puzzled about the cause. I’ve installed as many drivers as possible, disabled several background tasks, overclocked my new CPU, and even added another RAM stick using leftover funds from Christmas. Previously, with that setup, I achieved around 50-60 FPS at medium settings, except for Texture Quality and Texture Filtering which were set high. Now, even at low settings, I’m barely hitting 40 FPS on any map. If anyone could shed some light on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure it's a bottleneck on your CPU. Open Battlefield 1 and look at the Task Manager to see what percentage of CPU usage it's handling.

Make sure your CPU is downgraded, you need to adjust your CPU settings.

It seems the processor might be limiting performance, and the higher memory rates aren't compensating well since the Ryzen requires quicker data transfer speeds.

You might consider boosting its performance slightly, assuming your cooler can handle it. What made you decide to replace the CPU?

When the CPU operates at full memory capacity, additional improvements may be limited.

Certainly, it would have been wise to explore further before making a decision.

She suggested a similar device to the 8350, noting comparable performance and efficiency, with the added benefit of better cooling. I increased its clock speed from 3.1 to 3.8Ghz, but the overall improvement wasn't substantial.
