Hello! I understand this might seem a bit confusing, but I’m not sure if buying the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) version and installing it will fix the issue. If my HD stops working, I’m wondering if I can reactivate it again. I also want to know how the company knows I’m not installing it on multiple computers. I’ve had some problems with Norton in the past regarding online activation issues. Any advice would be really helpful!

yes, windows functions with a single key on one pc, but you can switch the whole system if you still have a key. they detect activation over the internet.

In the worst scenario you might have to call for activation if you need to replace a significant hardware part, but that covers most of the problems you'll face.
