New to Steam
New to Steam
I decided to upgrade my gaming rig to a PS4 since it’s more affordable compared to a good GPU. While I’m unsure if I should wait for a Steam discount or go straight to buying games, I’m curious whether the sale covers most titles. My reason for wanting a PS4 is partly because I’m excited about starting anew on that platform—it feels like a fresh beginning, even though I’m used to PCs.
Welcome to The Master Race Brother. Purchase items, grab everything. But hold off for the sale—this one stands out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp-giY_ewM0
When prices drop, grab it. For top quality without cost, try TERA. It's currently streaming (check your profile for the link). Amazing performance—no need to spend!
The major steam discount is the optimal moment to purchase games. It’s best to get your Steam cards (if available locally) about a week prior since they sell out quickly. Only 100-dollar cards were available, while 20 and 50-dollar ones were sold out.
I'm not aware of anyone who really values Steam achievements... though I think some might. With Steam, each game usually drops in price soon after purchase... but often it takes a day or two for the sale to kick in. Most of my collection—194 titles—got bought at discounted rates through various platforms like Steam itself, G2a, Gamers Gate, Good old Games, Greenman Gaming, and Humble Bundle. In fact, only Borderlands 2 and Skyrim were purchased at full price; both were a solid investment.
Many affordable gaming platforms are available online. Examples include greenmangaming.com, gog.com and humblebundle.com. When a game is hosted on Steam, these sites typically provide a downloadable key.
Steam sales are top, I got a Garry's Mod mod for $2.50 and I've played over 130 hours in that game.
I acquired Garry's Mod for just three dollars and had already logged in for eight minutes after purchasing it.
