Hey everyone, I'm just getting started with New Colossus and trying to get used to TNO. I've noticed some texture popping on my GTX 1080 Ti, especially when I'm using 16 GB RAM and a 7700k at 1080p. At first, I thought it was because of the limited VRAM, but with 11 GB available, that shouldn't be the case. Or is this just a quirk of the IDTech 5 engine?

It seems the texture isn't displaying properly at first, but then it appears correctly after a short delay. This could be related to how your storage is handling the data. Did you mean to ask about that?

Wolfstein the new order couldn't establish its own texture cache folder, so you need to create the directory yourself at the provided link.

It seems the issue develops gradually as resolution increases, particularly during fast movements like a 180-degree turn. The cache file was already set up on an SSD, yet the problem continues.

It seems like your storage device might not be delivering enough data quickly enough. Your system can access the file, but it’s not receiving sufficient information. This could be a minor issue unless many textures in the scene are extremely low resolution.

It's not that bad, but it gets bothersome and breaks the experience when I notice them!

Close your eyes! (just a joke) I’m not sure what else to say except that it’s probably your storage device—especially if you’re using an HDD.

Alright, I'll give it another shot on the SSD. Appreciate the support!
