This build is not my first, but it's my first ITX setup. When the graphics card is connected, the system takes longer to start, sometimes not at all, and struggles with basic tasks like monitoring hardware. I've updated all drivers via Nvidia, but occasionally the PC freezes severely, showing error 0x0003, or it crashes completely and restarts. The BIOS also fails to detect the GPU for some reason. If I disconnect the GPU entirely, the connection and power remain intact, and the system functions normally. What might be causing this issue?

They assert the riser cable is compatible with PCIe 4.0, yet if it gets harmed during installation it could lead to problems. A simple solution might be to switch the system to PCIe 3.0 settings within the BIOS to check for improvements.

I understand it's not enjoyable, but take out the computer from the case and place it on top of the motherboard box, installing the GPU directly in the PCI slot to determine if the problem lies with the card or the cable.
