Information: Each time I press the power button on my PC case, it starts up for a brief moment before turning off. After shutting down, when I restart the case and press the power button again, the system briefly activates for a second, with fans running before shutting down once more. Before pressing the power button, I notice the PSU supplying power to my motherboard, and after shutdown, the USB ports light up with items connected, along with a red dot on my GPU. After the PC fails and powers off, I can no longer press the power button and must reset it by switching it on and off with the wall.

These components are new except for the power supply, which has been in use for about a week and a half, and I’m certain it’s functioning properly as I used it in my previous build yesterday.

Specs: Ryzen 7 7700x
NVIDIA RTX 4070TI
Asus Tuf 650 Wifi Motherboard
Case: Lian Li Vision
RAM: Kingston 6000MHz, 36GB
Cooler: NZXT Kraken 240 MM
Storage: M.2 NVme, SSD, HDD
PSU: Corsairs 850 RM

It is connected to the 8-pin slot, though there is a 4-pin slot on the left which I don’t have. I need the pins to go into it, but I think the 8 pins should be sufficient to power it.

Disconnect all wires from front_panel on the motherboard. Then use a screwdriver to short the power pins.

Yeah, I just finished that. I had to reset my PSU through the wall and then used a screwdriver, getting the same results as I did with the button on the case.

I’ve also cleaned my RAM with a cloth and tested 1 stick in different slots.

I’ve recently come across a fix where another person shared they faced the same problem but resolved it by properly connecting their AIO cooling system. I think I’ve set it up correctly too, would appreciate confirmation from others.
