I completed setting up a fresh system for home use as a server, but every distro I attempted displays a gray screen. Once that appears, nothing works. I'm familiar with Linux, yet this is the first time I encounter something like this since the 90s. Hardware specs: AMD 5700G Asrock Phantom Gaming 4 B550 with 32GB RAM (XMP up to 3200 MHz), 1TB NVMe BIOS (versions 2.30 & 2.40). I've tried Ubuntu Server LTS, Proxmox 7.3 PopOS for testing, CSM without success, and the graphics are set to integrated. No other devices installed; a 2.5Gb NIC was removed. Any ideas or suggestions?

There may be a problem with Plymouth or a systemd service interfering. Does the gray screen disappear when you press F12? Can you reach it from another device on the network?

I began the Proxmox installer and then left in frustration. Later, after a while, I returned to see it running again. I tested it on Ubuntu Server just for testing purposes, and after more than six minutes, the installer finally appeared. That delay is quite unusual, and I’m not sure what could be causing it. I’m currently installing Proxmox and will share updates once I learn more about its boot time.

Following Proxmox installation, the system remains on a gray screen for over 20 minutes. I can connect via SSH and log in, but using HTTP for setup isn't working.

This indicates the interface will close as Proxmox anticipates a grey screen, allowing me to reach the webgui.
