A mobo isn't compatible with Zen 3. The B550 is meant for Ryzen 5000, while the B450 isn't suitable for that processor.

That specific MSI board lacks BIOS flashback capabilities. Therefore, they’d need to locate or acquire a compatible CPU—such as a Ryzen 2000 or 3000 series—to activate the board and update its firmware.

My PC has an MSI Mortar Max B450M board. I had to update the BIOS so that a Ryzen 5600 processor would function properly.

Check if your system supports the BIOS and see if a Ryzen 3000 CPU is compatible. If not, consider using an older BIOS version or updating your motherboard drivers.

Yes, you can try borrowing it. Or check with the store if they offer to update the BIOS.

Checked the GPU drivers, but it’s still not functioning. Consider resetting them or trying a different setup.

I don’t have direct access to flash BIOS, but I can explain common methods. You usually need to use a bootable USB drive or a recovery tool to access the BIOS setup. Once there, you can reset settings or clear the firmware if needed. If you can’t reach the BIOS, you might need specialized hardware or software support.

The GPU comes from my previous computer, which I can upgrade myself. If there are any differences between Intel and another brand, let me know.

If the store could be updated using another GPU, it seems the GPU might be the problem. It appears your GPU could be outdated—would you try launching the new setup with the existing one?
