I'm facing some unusual issues with my new PC. I can play games like Marvel Rivals and Fortnite without any problems, even on Epic settings for Fortnite where it drops frame sometimes. Valorant works fine for about half a minute in the tutorial, after which the whole system freezes repeatedly—sometimes every few seconds, other times longer. When I'm in a Discord call, I have to pause and resume to let others hear me. The most puzzling part is that even after shutting down, restarting, or unplugging the PC for hours, the freezing persists. The only solution so far has been using the AMD cleanup tool to reset the graphics card drives in safe mode. I've tried several things: using two monitors or one, adjusting GPU settings to boost frequencies, reinstalling drivers, disabling fullscreen optimizations, and running the game as an administrator. After testing these, strange outcomes appeared—closing Valorant still caused freezing, even after shutdowns. In my last test, before every crash I noticed the CPU would spike or hit 100% quickly (see attached graphs). This seems to confirm Valorant is CPU-intensive. I'm running out of ideas with limited knowledge. Interestingly, a friend built a similar setup except with different cooling and storage, and he didn't have issues. My hardware specs are: CPU 7600X, cooler Master Masterliquid ML240L, GPU XFX Quicksilver Magair RX 7800 XT, motherboard Gigabyte B650 Eagle, RAM G.skill Ripjaws 32GB 6000MHz, storage Kingston KC3000 1x 2TB, PSU Corsair Rm750xc 750W.

My friend assembled the identical PC without any problems, and I can run any other games without trouble. I believe the answer isn’t to purchase an Nvidia graphics card.

Well, that's possible. Do you have the AMD Replay feature enabled? If not, you might need to wait for a fix from AMD or the developers, or test with older drivers.

Amd replay feature allows you to record and play back game sessions. For older driver versions, you can visit the Amd website to download them.

Upgrade your UEFI (BIOS) to the newest release. Turn off all overclocking features, including RAM overclocking. (EXPO) Check for instability. This could relate to RAM issues or an AMD GPU problem. Remove any riser card or riser cable and retest.
