Hey guys, I don't know about you all, but I really loved playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC and Clear Sky. Call of Pripyat was a total no-go because of its random events and bugs. They still have too many problems to fix. Anyway, here is the news: GSC GameWorld posted three new screenshots for S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chernobyl. They look really cool in-game, showing off how good Unreal Engine 5 is. But honestly, they don't make much sense. The game might be just starting to happen, so these pictures aren't very convincing. As far as the story goes, it sounds epic and non-linear, with choices that affect both what happens right now and the big picture later on. It will take place in Chernobyl's exclusion zone, mixing old places with new ones. GSC says they are using motion capture for faces and bodies, plus photogrammetry. They also plan to let mods work at launch and include Ray Tracing effects. S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2: Heart of Chornobyl will use Unreal Engine 5 and drop in late 2023. The screenshots on Steam back in December looked fine though. Here is a fresh set of shots from the Zone! - Steam News (steampowered.com)

this game has been delayed way too long and might get even worse because of how things are happening in Ukraine. I have loved the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series ever since playing Shadow of Chernobyl back when it was released 14 years ago. I still play every single game in that series a couple times per year, using some great graphics and gameplay mods to make them even better. It is amazing how this old game can still feel cool compared to modern titles. The Lost Alpha overhaul mod adds new stuff and features to the SoC that weren't included in the final release, which is pretty cool. I'm so excited to try Heart of Chernobyl; it's definitely one of my most anticipated games ever.

The show is okay overall, but I'm not sure if they will make a finished game. GSC GameWorld has too many problems lately. Let's hope the graphics don't get worse. And yes, LOST ALPHA mod is cool. There are still some glitches, but it's a great and fair modification.
