Starting to wonder if theres even any liquid in the radiator xD
According to the manual, an AIO should be connected to the CPU_opt header, and a CPU fan to the CPU_fan header. The opt appears in the BIOS, which is where I connected it.
A recent reboot video shows the CPU temperature rising rapidly. It seems the cooling system might be failing or not receiving enough liquid. I plan to remove it tomorrow and test if water flows through the tubes. If everything checks out, the issue is resolved. If not, I’ll consider replacing the cooler. The video is too large to share; I’ll try again tomorrow and capture a shorter clip if needed.
Ensure the pump header is connected to it. If not, it can be used with any other header, but the header must always run at 100% in the BIOS.
The arctic freezer comes with only one wire for both the pump and all the fans. The MB only has 2 headers for cpu, cpu_fan and cpu_opt. The only header marked pump is sym_fan4_pump. Cant feel any vibrations in the tubes. I have another aio in a desktop, i can clearly feel vibrations in this one. Seems to me that the pump is not working, sent an email to the support of the store I purchased the part in. Currently waiting a for a reply.
The cooler uses just one wire to link the pump and fans via the same header. Therefore, when evaluating CPU-related choices like cpu_fan or cpu_opt, both options performed similarly.
SOLVED!!! THANK YOU! Got it fixed! All I needed was to flip it upside down and shake it a bit. Then hold it sideways and shake again. YES!!! I remembered a video with Jay and another with Steve that said if all the air was trapped in the pump, this would be the problem. I thought it’d fix itself with the stuff I’ve been carrying around for mounting. Holy shit! This works perfectly! It’s now steady at 25°C in post. The pump was making a lot of noise when water first arrived, so I kept moving and turning it until the air was gone. Pheeew! This was my first desktop build and I was really thorough, though I thought I messed it up. Such a silly issue to cause the CPU to overheat!
