I had 8GB RAM with the 1866 XMP profile. I switched to 2133MHz with 16GB and immediately noticed in Ark that lower frame rates seemed smoother. I use a GSync monitor, but I still feel like lower frames didn’t really improve smoothness. I understand GSync isn’t a magic fix that turns 30 seconds into 60. Now with this new RAM, 30 actually feels quite smooth. This isn’t just a placebo.

These items might be from a less common model. Could you identify the product lines? This data will help us better understand them.

Both traditional and modern versions hold the same meaning.

Same for me in Squad. I upgraded from 16GB DDR3 1866 to 32GB DDR4 3000Mhz. The lower FPS is now less noticeable and there’s less fluctuation when the app runs on the rig. For most of us, it’s barely a difference, though I really push things in 1440p and 4K with high resolution scaling and also VR apps.

They both appear to be improving their baseline performance. The steady frame rate doesn't fully capture the situation.

Higher RAM speed usually offers a slight boost in performance for tasks that rely heavily on the CPU. However, it probably won’t create a noticeable improvement right away. On the flip side, I don’t play Ark, so consider my views as your own.

Higher RAM speeds may boost performance in some games, though they don’t alter the overall experience. It seems your Gsync might have been disabled previously.

What do you think about frame pacing? It definitely matters. For instance, Dishonored 2 often struggles with it, making 60 fps feel slower. Of course, it's not universal—some people are fine with it.

I haven't encountered this before. With Gsync, I don't face any FPS problems at all.
