Installed fresh RAM, shut down the system, removed old module, inserted new one. Restarted the PC...black display appears, only restarts work. Cannot boot using normal power switch, only restart option functions. Consider removing the new RAM and CMOS battery before reinstalling to test.

Use CMOS reset alongside the updated RAM.
