I have a new R7 7700 (non X) in an ASUS B650-E with a CL30 6000 2x16 setup ("Expo I" turned on). Recently, I noticed occasional small delays in CSGO, sometimes every few minutes. I turned on the FPS counter and the lowest recorded frame rate is around 3 FPS. I’m trying to figure out what might be causing this issue. Max CPU usage during gameplay was about 71%. Note: My GPU is an 1070Ti, but it didn’t cause problems on my older i5 8th gen with DDR4.

Have you installed all your chipset and BIOS drivers? If you switched from Intel to AMD, it’s a good idea to perform a clean installation of Windows. This could be the reason behind any issues you’re experiencing.

I haven't performed any installations yet. Please confirm if you've completed a fresh Windows setup or transferred your existing drive to the new system.

Have you considered reducing the frame rate? I've heard CSGO can experience high FPS and sudden jumps.

Avoid lowering to 3 FPS as well; capping it won’t make much difference in this case.

I completed a fresh installation and that's correct. All software and the BIOS are current.

Ensure temperatures are within acceptable ranges. Consider testing with JEDEC RAM speeds (disable EXPO) to observe performance. This might resolve a small stability concern.

The issue appears resolved. To ensure functionality with Expo enabled, verify your setup. You purchased 6000 CL30 Expo-validated kits—confirm they are correctly installed and compatible.

Consider adjusting the timing settings to observe potential improvements. Regrettably, EXPO/XMP is an overclock and isn't assured.
