Hi there, I just completed assembling a new PC and encountered some issues with the Seasonic Focus GX-850 ATX 3 (2024) PSU. Right after turning it on, the fan becomes extremely loud—it's the most noticeable in the BIOS. Even though the used parts like the 9800X3D and 7900XTX have relatively low idle power draw, I'm concerned about this behavior. Pressing the "Hybrid mode" button quiets the fan significantly, but positioning the PSU so the fan faces the motherboard isn't ideal for me. Additionally, I worry it would get noisy again under heavy load. Seasonic advertises a 20dB reduction during full load, but that seems too high. Should I consider filing a warranty claim or is there something I'm doing incorrectly?

the psu fan needs to be positioned at the bottom of the case, which is why the vent is there.
are you sure it's the psu fan and that nothing is blocking the fan blades?

Yes, it does face the bottom of the case. I'm sure there is nothing hitting the blades, it doesn't sound like something is physically in the fan, just like high RPMs.
