New Pixel 9a device isn't being identified on a Windows 10 system.
I have literally tried every guide on the matter and have even contacted the dedicated pixel support. When i connect my pixel to my PC via USB it just won't show up. Not in file explorer and not even in device manager. No voice in device manager whatsoever, no "unknown device" or similar. Just nothing . To test a theory I tried to connect my new pixel to my old laptop and guess what? IT SHOWS UP!! The laptop is older than my pc and yet it got recognised instantly. Which means maybe it has to do with the operating system? So I tried updating my chipset drivers and even manually install the google usb drivers. Still nothing. If anyone has the solution to this problem I beg you please share it
Experiment with various cables and ports. Try switching to USB-C to USB-C if your device supports it. It seems routing through the monitors hub helped, though most of the time the monitor's USB port didn't work properly—even when plugged into a USB-A port on the device. On some older phones, USB 2.0 performed better than USB 3.9 ports. I don’t understand why this issue persists, but after over a decade and using at least five smartphones, it’s clear that USB connections can be inconsistent. There’s definitely variability with “universal” setups. Hopefully, Copilot will improve USB compatibility in the future...
