Good afternoon everyone, I recently upgraded my 6-year-old PC, switching from Intel to AMD hardware. I have two additional drives with various applications installed. I’m trying to make Windows recognize those programs without having to uninstall and reinstall each one. For instance, Steam on D:/ doesn’t appear in the Start Menu or the Add/Remove Programs list. How can I achieve this?

You need to reinstall the necessary apps for the system to recognize them again. After reinstalling the Steam app, adjust the default Steam library location to point to your D drive files (File > Settings > Downloads > Steam Library). This way, you won’t have to re-download all games from that drive.

You really have limited options. If you choose to reinstall, you’ll need to handle all the registry changes yourself, which could be risky. Your game library should work fine. Just tell Steam to use an empty folder and then move your games back in—your Steam session should improve significantly.

Attempt to execute the programs. Ideal scenario involves successful installation of all dependencies and regulations, while the worst case requires a full reinstall.
