New PC! What is iEXPO?
Hi, I see you're having some confusion about your PC setup. You have an MSI Pro Z790 A-wifi motherboard, an Intel I7-13700KF processor, and a 2x32GB DDR5 6000MHz RAM setup. You're trying to enable XMP for the RAM speed but only see iEXPO listed. It seems like iEXPO is primarily for AMD systems, but you might be able to use it with your Intel RAM if you enable the correct profiles. Double-check your RAM type and ensure you're using the right drivers or settings for XMP support.
They also provide it at that link: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/blog/what...to-use-it/
So there shouldn’t be any stability issues. I just noticed the RAM comes in two versions—one for AMD EXPO and another for XMP. I accidentally picked the EXPO type... Should be fine at the end.
Checking the distinctions between AMD EXPO, iEXPO and XMP settings.
I first noticed "iEXPO" but think it's just an unusual MSI naming style. XMP and EXPO are memory overclocking profiles saved directly on the DIMM, and I've seen some chips with only XMP, just EXPO, or both. *edit* A quick search suggests it could refer to "Intel EXPO," since AMD's participation in the standard has led many to assume EXPO is mainly for AMD CPUs, though it's actually an open standard usable by both platforms.
