I recently upgraded my computer and kept some older components while adding new parts like the motherboard, RAM, and CPU. When I play games such as Sea of Thieves, Greyzone Warfare, Fallout 76, Fallout 4, Halo Infinite and Helldivers, lowering the graphics settings to their minimums, I can achieve around 60 frames per second on average. If I leave the default auto-detected graphics settings enabled, my performance drops to about 20 FPS. I’ve checked all drivers and found that the only missing one was for my chipset/CPU. It might be because only one of the 8-pin PCIe cables is connected to the motherboard, not two as my power supply lacks an extra 6+2 pin cable. Regarding Task Manager, it indicates low impact during gameplay. On average, GPU usage stays around 12%, CPU around 15-25%, RAM usage is 40-50%, and drives aren’t overloaded. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may be facing a problem with just one of the two auxiliary power cables connected to your motherboard. Have you checked your CPU clock speed and power consumption using tools like HWMonitor? It’s possible heavy throttling is occurring, which might not show up in CPU usage stats. After upgrading your PC, did you perform a clean Windows installation?

You're asking about PCI-E 6+2 specifications for your motherboard. It looks like you want to confirm whether it supports the correct interface for your i7-12700KF, which only needs an EPS 8-pin or ATX 4+4 power cable—not a PCI-E power adapter. Make sure the chipset drivers and all required motherboard drivers are installed via the official support page. Also check if you've done a fresh Windows install or reused an old one, and whether you removed the previous CPU/Motherboard drivers. Your RAM slots are set to 4x, and you should verify XMP settings in the BIOS. Keep an eye on temperatures and ensure your CPU/GPU isn't throttling due to cooling issues.
