Hello, I just set up a new PC with a fresh M.2 SSD and installed Windows on it. I also reformatted the old Windows drive to use it as a gaming drive. Recently, my computer freezes unexpectedly—still allowing me to move around, but programs won’t run, like Discord or shutdowns. The only way to power it off is by holding the power button. When I try to restart, I see an error: Winload.efi is missing or corrupt. The error code is 0xc0000000e. If I turn it off and back on, it boots normally but takes about five minutes. After that, the PC turns on and off until the freeze recurs. I’ve tried reinstalling Windows via the repair tool, ran sfc /scannow (it fixed some files), and used chkdsk C: /r in cmd to scan and repair the disk. Any advice would be appreciated!

You might be experiencing a failing drive, possibly due to the controller or the flash memory. Consider running the manufacturer's diagnostic tools for further assistance.

The Kingston SSD manager indicates everything is in good condition.

Consider RAM next; it might be defective leading to issues with program loading

Consider switching to a different drive for the setup. If possible, use the same port to ensure it isn't another issue causing the problem.

I ran that the previous day when the first freeze occurred, and everything checked out. I'll give it another shot.

Remove the extra drive. Reinstall Windows using only a single drive. Occasionally it stores data on other drives during installation, which can cause formatting issues.

Discovered the new m.2 wasn’t included in the BIOS as a boot device. Followed your advice and it’s now set as the primary boot option. Sending good wishes for smoother operation.
