Hi everyone, I just set up my first PC and chose a motherboard without built-in WiFi or Bluetooth since I already use Ethernet. I’m missing the ability to connect my Switch Pro Controller for gaming. I need a good Wi-Fi or Bluetooth adapter under $50 CAD, preferably available on Amazon Canada. The TP-Link AX3000 looks a bit pricey, but it should work if it fits the PCI-e 16x slot on my board. I’m hoping it’s compatible and affordable enough. Thanks!

The TP-Link AX3000 PCIe adapter runs on the Intel AX200 wireless chipset. It’s likely the sole client adapter chipset for WiFi 6 today. Many companies use this card, mount it onto a PCIe board with a heatsink and antenna, then market it under their own name. The variations between brands are minimal as long as the Intel AX200 is present, so choose the one that fits your budget and receives positive feedback. M.2 WiFi modules with antenna kits (such as Intel’s) are ideal for users with an available M.2 slot that supports A/E connectors. The product you’re considering (or the EDUP alternative for $44) needs a free PCIe slot (X1, X4, X8 or X16) and access to a free USB 2 header. This header is essential for Bluetooth functionality.
