New PC malfunctioning with crashes and BSODs
Hello, I recently assembled a new PC and will now provide the specifications. During stress testing, the system experienced crashes accompanied by BSODs. I encountered two error codes: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR and Machine-check exception. In my latest test, the CPU reached approximately 88°C. After stopping the game, the CPU temperature fell to around 70-80°C, though it would crash either during stress testing or after quitting the test when the load disappeared. I’m puzzled because HWInfo never indicated throttling, yet it shuts down at its maximum temperature. When I first installed Windows and drivers, no changes were made in the BIOS, RAM was set to 2667, and XMP profile 1 was enabled, now running at 3200MHz, but still crashes. GPU temperatures appear normal. A MemTest passed, yet I can’t identify the problem. Could you help me?
Hello. In the most likely scenario, it's just corrupted Windows files, so attempt that first. If that doesn't work, visit a service PC shop and have them examine each component to identify the issue.
I just turned off PBO and CPB, and it hasn't crashed yet. I'm wondering if the temperature or instability was the cause. Probably the latter. I'll keep testing and see if it becomes stable. If so, I'll try enabling either CPB or PBO because the clock speeds only reach 3.7GHz when both are off.
