New PC fails to boot (could be related to VGA issue?)
Hey everyone.
I recently swapped out the motherboard and RAM on my main computer, and everything worked smoothly. But when I tried installing the old parts on my mother's machine, her PC failed to boot. All components were lit up, the CPU sounded active, yet nothing displayed on the screen. There were no beeps from the speaker either. The only clue was the red VGA light, which suggested a problem with the graphics card preventing full startup.
It seems like a simple fix would be replacing the GPU. I bought a cheaper one and the issue continued. The new processor I got for her computer is the same model I used with that motherboard (i5-12400F). Unfortunately, it lacks built-in graphics, so I can't use the Mobo's HDMI output.
I've gone through all the troubleshooting steps, but nothing seems to help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
CPU: I5-12400F
Mobo: B660 DS3H DDR4
RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Pro
GPU: Revenger GTX 550Ti (also tried Zotac GT520)
